class=\"p1\"><b>Objetivo:<\/b>\u00a0La ataxia telangiectasia (AT) es un trastorno neurodegenerativo con inmunodeficiencia y predisposici\u00f3n al c\u00e1ncer. Recientemente, la Dra. Van der Burg y otros investigadores han demostrado que el rib\u00f3sido de nicotinamida (NR) tiene efectos positivos en el curso de la enfermedad. El NR es una variante de la vitamina B3 y tiene pocos efectos secundarios. Muchos estudios ya se han centrado en c\u00f3mo el NR influye en el sistema neurol\u00f3gico, pero en este proyecto, el equipo investigar\u00e1 el efecto del rib\u00f3sido de nicotinamida en el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico en pacientes con AT. Adem\u00e1s, estudiar\u00e1n el desarrollo de los par\u00e1metros inmunol\u00f3gicos en pacientes con un diagn\u00f3stico temprano, porque plantean la hip\u00f3tesis de que el tratamiento con NR puede tener mayores beneficios en etapas iniciales. Por \u00faltimo, el equipo desarrollar\u00e1 un nuevo sistema modelo para probar la influencia del NR y otros posibles tratamientos en las c\u00e9lulas inmunodeficientes en el gen ATM.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Este proyecto generar\u00e1 nuevos conocimientos sobre el curso natural del desarrollo del sistema inmunol\u00f3gico en el primer a\u00f1o de vida en pacientes con AT y contribuir\u00e1 a explorar posibles beneficios de la NR para pacientes con AT diagnosticados tempranamente. El equipo iniciar\u00e1 una encuesta internacional para recopilar datos sobre el estado cl\u00ednico y el inmunofenotipo de pacientes con AT diagnosticados mediante la evaluaci\u00f3n neonatal a partir de expedientes electr\u00f3nicos m\u00e9dicos de pacientes (EPD) para crear una hoja de ruta del curso natural de los par\u00e1metros inmunol\u00f3gicos durante los primeros a\u00f1os de vida. Luego utilizar\u00e1n sistemas de cultivo de laboratorio, que han demostrado ser modelos efectivos para el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico, en combinaci\u00f3n con inhibidores de ATM y diferentes dosis de NR para investigar el impacto de NR en el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico. Por \u00faltimo, desarrollar\u00e1n un nuevo sistema modelo para c\u00e9lulas inmunitarias deficientes en ATM, basado en c\u00e9lulas madre de sangre del cord\u00f3n umbilical en las que se ha creado una mutaci\u00f3n ATM mediante una t\u00e9cnica de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n denominada edici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica basada en CRISPR.<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>M\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n<\/b>\u00a0<a
