class=\"p1\"><b>Objetivo:<\/b>\u00a0Estudio longitudinal para ver c\u00f3mo cambian los \u00f3rganos en las primeras etapas de A-T desde antes de que aparezcan los s\u00edntomas.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Desde 2021, la \u00abprueba del tal\u00f3n\u00bb (que se realiza a los reci\u00e9n nacidos\u00a0para detectar distintas patolog\u00edas), incluye\u00a0en Reino Unido una nueva prueba para detectar problemas graves del sistema inmunitario. Como resultado, se han identificado algunos beb\u00e9s con ataxia telangiectasia. Por primera vez, esto da la oportunidad de recopilar datos (a partir de esc\u00e1neres cerebrales y pulmonares, muestras de sangre y videos de movimientos) de beb\u00e9s y ni\u00f1os muy peque\u00f1os con AT, antes de que presenten s\u00edntomas y a medida que crecen. Los investigadores tomar\u00e1n estas medidas anualmente durante 4 a\u00f1os. Esto proporcionar\u00e1 datos \u00fanicos sobre c\u00f3mo afecta la enfermedad a los \u00f3rganos, sobre todo el cerebro y los pulmones, en las primeras etapas de la AT desde antes de que aparezcan los s\u00edntomas.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Se est\u00e1n desarrollando nuevos tratamientos para la ataxia telangiectasia que tienen como objetivo reducir la discapacidad que se desarrolla t\u00edpicamente durante la infancia. Para que estos tratamientos sean m\u00e1s eficaces, es probable que sea necesario iniciarlos en una edad muy temprana. progresi\u00f3n de la enfermedad podr\u00edan permitir detectar un beneficio temprano de un nuevo tratamiento antes de que los efectos del tratamiento sobre la discapacidad se hagan evidentes y
