M\u00e1s de <strong>19 horas pedaleando, 41 subidas al Puerto de Bezi, 312 km, 8.859 m de desnivel y m\u00e1s de 6.000 euros recaudados<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V\u00edctor ha querido dedicar su <strong>primer reto solidario<\/strong> a la investigaci\u00f3n de la ataxia telangiectasia por la vinculaci\u00f3n con un amigo suyo, una padre de nuestra asociaci\u00f3n cuyo hijo peque\u00f1o fue diagnosticado hace pocos meses con esta enfermedad rara y neurodegenerativa que causa una severa discapacidad progresiva.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este ciclista aficionado de <strong>Sopuerta<\/strong> (Bizkaia), de 42 a\u00f1os, se propuso&nbsp;cumplir uno de los retos deportivos de moda, el denominado&nbsp;<strong><em>Everesting Challenge<\/em><\/strong>. Se trata de realizar un recorrido en bicicleta que acumule un desnivel superior a la altura del Everest, 8.848 metros, en un \u00fanico puerto. <em>Bitt\u00edn<\/em>, como le conocen en la zona, comenz\u00f3 el reto a las 4 de la ma\u00f1ana con el objetivo de subir y bajar unas&nbsp;<strong>40 veces<\/strong>&nbsp;el&nbsp;<strong>Puerto de Bezi<\/strong>, situado cerca de su localidad. Hasta una asociaci\u00f3n local, <em>Burdinmendi<\/em>, ha donado 2.700 euros por el reto. Muchos no entienden por qu\u00e9 lo hago, sin tener vinculaci\u00f3n directa con la enfermedad. Pero el padre de ese ni\u00f1o con ataxia telangiectasia fue hace un tiempo mi compa\u00f1ero, y a d\u00eda de hoy un amigo, en la bici y fuera de ella. Su generosidad me marc\u00f3 y estoy muy agradecido.&nbsp;<strong>Ahora quiero ser yo el que ayude un poco<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>Disfruto yendo en bici y, si tambi\u00e9n puedo colaborar con una causa de una persona cercana, pues mejor\u201d, detalla.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En su reto, publicado en la plataforma de recaudaci\u00f3n de fondos <a href=\"https:\/\/www.migranodearena.org\/reto\/reto-everesting-puerto-de-bezi-a-beneficio-de-la-investigaci-n-de-la-ataxia-telangiectasia\">Migranodearena<\/a>, ya <strong>ha recaudado m\u00e1s de 6.000 euros<\/strong>, mucho m\u00e1s de lo que el deportista solidario esperaba, y a\u00fan se mantendr\u00e1 abierto hasta el 25 de septiembre. La recaudaci\u00f3n que consiga ir\u00e1 directamente a nuestra asociaci\u00f3n&nbsp;<strong>Aefat&nbsp;<\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aefat.es\/\">www.aefat.es<\/a>), que agrupa a las familias de los 30 ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes afectados que hay en Espa\u00f1a (dos de ellos en el Pa\u00eds Vasco), que est\u00e1 financiando un&nbsp;<strong>proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n en la Cl\u00ednica Universidad de Navarra \u2013 CIMA<\/strong>&nbsp;que cuesta 50.000 euros al a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Este proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong> podr\u00eda dar con una terapia g\u00e9nica para esta enfermedad sin cura ni tratamiento. Ante la pandemia y la cancelaci\u00f3n de eventos solidarios, la asociaci\u00f3n ha visto reducidas sus posibilidades de recaudaci\u00f3n y agradece retos solidarios como el iniciado por V\u00edctor.
