Diez de nuestros j\u00f3venes con ataxia telangiectasia participar\u00e1n este domingo 20 de febrero en el Zurich Marat\u00f3n de Sevilla 2022, en sus sillas especiales, empujados por un grupo de 12 corredores solidarios que ser\u00e1n \u201csus piernas\u201d durante esos 42 km.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Todos forman parte del Equipo Zurich Aefat, una iniciativa creada en 2017 por nosotros, Aefat, la asociaci\u00f3n que agrupa a las familias con afectados en Espa\u00f1a, apoyados por la compa\u00f1\u00eda aseguradora, para dar visibilidad a esta enfermedad rara, buscar fondos para su investigaci\u00f3n y motivar a nuestros ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes afectados.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Con el de Sevilla, el Equipo Zurich Aefat llevar\u00e1 <strong>17 maratones Zurich completados<\/strong>. Cada vez m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes con ataxia telangiectasia quieren participar en esta iniciativa solidaria porque para ellos y sus familias es m\u00e1s que un marat\u00f3n: supone una experiencia positiva y enriquecedora de deporte inclusivo, salen de su entorno habitual y conviven afectados, familias y corredores.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La <strong>ataxia telangiectasia<\/strong> es enfermedad gen\u00e9tica que a\u00fan no tiene cura ni tratamiento, que provoca una discapacidad f\u00edsica progresiva de la que los afectados son conscientes, inmunodeficiencia que les provoca complicaciones respiratorias, y m\u00e1s probabilidad de c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este domingo participar\u00e1n en el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zurichmaratonsevilla.es\/\">Zurich Marat\u00f3n de Sevilla<\/a><strong> diez j\u00f3venes, con edades comprendidas entre 13 y 32 a\u00f1os<\/strong>: \u00c1lex de Oliva (Valencia), Patricia de Lal\u00edn (Pontevedra), Sara de Madrid, Sonia de Ferrol (A Coru\u00f1a), Jon de Vitoria-Gasteiz, los hermanos \u00c1lvaro, Luis-Ill\u00e1n y Alejandra de Terrassa (Barcelona), e Im\u00e1n y Lola de Barcelona. Y varias familias m\u00e1s se han querido implicar, aunque sus hijos no participen o hayan fallecido.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un equipo de <strong>12 corredores solidarios<\/strong>, procedentes de Sevilla, C\u00e1diz, M\u00e1laga y \u00c1lava, empujar\u00e1n sus sillas especiales en la capital sevillana. SpiderAbel, corredor de Amurrio que lleva m\u00e1s de 80 maratones enfundado en su traje de Spiderman, es fijo con el equipo. En sus camisetas azules lucir\u00e1n el lema \u201c<strong>Corre, frena la AT<\/strong>\u201d de Aefat. Tambi\u00e9n llevar\u00e1n esa camiseta algunos <strong>voluntarios de Caixabank<\/strong> que se han ofrecido a apoyar nuestra causa y darle visibilidad durante la carrera, y tambi\u00e9n en sus redes sociales. Una gran iniciativa de Acci\u00f3n Social de la entidad bancaria, que forma parte del programa interno #plantatuproyecto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El <strong>Equipo Zurich Aefat<\/strong> se presentar\u00e1 este<strong> s\u00e1bado 19 de febrero<\/strong>, a las <strong>11,00<\/strong> de la ma\u00f1ana, en el stand de Zurich de la feria del Marat\u00f3n de Sevilla, la&nbsp;<strong>Expo Marat\u00f3n<\/strong>, en el Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Sevilla (FIBES). All\u00ed se fotografiar\u00e1n familias y corredores junto a&nbsp;directivos de la compa\u00f1\u00eda aseguradora. Adem\u00e1s, los organizadores del marat\u00f3n han cedido un <strong>stand<\/strong> para que Aefat pueda vender <strong>productos solidarios<\/strong> e informar sobre su actividad. El stand estar\u00e1 atendido por las familias durante la tarde del viernes y el s\u00e1bado todo el d\u00eda. Y adem\u00e1s, all\u00ed <strong>se regalar\u00e1n complementos de moda donados por la marca Mango <\/strong>a todos aquellos que donen 20 euros o m\u00e1s, o compren productos solidarios por ese importe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde 2017, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zurich.es\/\">Zurich<\/a><\/strong> entrega 12 dorsales para los corredores solidarios en cada marat\u00f3n y 20.000 euros anuales para Aefat, para ayudar a pagar los tres proyectos de <a href=\"https:\/\/exciting-elbakyan.137-74-93-36.plesk.page\/index.php\/2018\/09\/20\/investigacion\/\">investigaci\u00f3n<\/a> que la asociaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 financiando. Si alguien quiere colaborar, puede donar en <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aefat.es\/dona\">www.aefat.es\/dona<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Como explica <strong>Patxi Vill\u00e9n<\/strong>, presidente de Aefat y padre de Jon, \u201ces una enfermedad producida por una mutaci\u00f3n, le puede tocar a cualquiera pero nos ha tocado a nosotros, y solo queremos que nuestros hijos se curen\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En su lucha, adem\u00e1s del apoyo incondicional de Zurich, de los organizadores de la marat\u00f3n y el de los corredores solidarios, cuentan con la colaboraci\u00f3n de otras empresas. Tal como se\u00f1ala el presidente de Aefat, \u201cesta iniciativa que da un chute de energ\u00eda a nuestros hijos y nos ayuda a recordar que necesitamos fondos para investigar, no podr\u00eda organizarse sin la ayuda de la cadena <strong>Ayre Hoteles, <\/strong>que proporciona desde 2017 un importante descuento a las familias en el alojamiento en Ayre Hotel Sevilla, y nos miman cuando vamos, y el amable apoyo de <strong>MRW<\/strong> para el traslado de las sillas especiales y los productos solidarios.
